Aarhus University has just launched a new research center, Center for Language Generation and AI (CLAI)
The center brings together 22 researchers in different disciplines to investigate artificially intelligent language models, such as ChatGPT. With an interdisciplinary approach (from linguistics to philosophy), the center will delve into the technology behind these models and possibly develop a Danish version. In addition, the center will shed light on the pedagogical, ethical, and practical aspects of using these models.

Artificial intelligence as an auxiliary tool for exam assignments
Assistant Professor Karl Philip Lund from Kristiania University College in Oslo has written an interesting blog post about how he has reduced the correction time on bachelor theses. Using AI, he spends an average of 15 minutes per task, with a scope of 30-60 pages. With the help of systematics, the right prompting strategies, and Humat, he can quickly scan and judge the content. In conclusion, he took out part of the text and examined the student's writing style here. This is very interesting because this practice will make correction work considerably easier.
However, AI researchers have met resistance to Karl Philip Lund using artificial intelligence in this way, and they claim that he violates the Personal Data Regulation. However, since he does not upload assignments with the student's name to Humata, there should not be a violation. You can read about the whole case on the university's website.

Facebook groups
If you want to be updated via Facebook, there are two interesting groups:
The first, called "Artificial Intelligence", compliance techis overarching and gives a good insight into the latest possibilities in the subject. The group covers all aspects of artificial intelligence and does not only focus on the education sector.
The second group is about artificial intelligence in primary and lower secondary schools and aims to explore how we can use the technologies in everyday school life.
Both groups are worth joining because there will be many useful links and discussions.
Conferences and seminars
We also focused equally on CLAI and their seminar on the didactic use of ChatGPT in education. You can sign up below and can participate physically or online:
Recommendation of the week
If you want more knowledge about AI writing journalism, DR has launched a podcast called Prompt. The first section talks about artificial intelligence that can make recipes for bombs. Marcel Mirzaei-Fard and Henrik Moltke are hosts and, in this episode, are visited by journalist Ida Ebbensgaard, a fellow at SDU.
