High school teacher wants to clone himself: Zetland (behind login) has written an interesting article about how far we have come with digital AI assistants. In a classroom in Frederiksberg, high school teacher Kira Valeur Nielsen shows a video of a digital clone based on artificial intelligence. It is a fascinating perspective to have a digital clone teaching students; thus, each student can have their version of the digital teacher. But what does this mean for the teacher's future role in teaching? This could potentially revolutionize how teaching is delivered and how students learn and interact with technology.
Artificial intelligence is being introduced in scientific search engines: Scopus, Dimensions and Web of Science are all testing how to use language models to search for scientific articles in proprietary databases. Elsevier calls their chatbot "Scopus AI", and with the help of GPT-3.5, the researchers get summaries of articles with references and the opportunity for further questions to work on.
