In a new survey conducted by Epinion for DR's Ultra News, it has emerged that around 14% of students in the age group 9-14 years have used ChatGPT for their schoolwork. Both teachers and students express uncertainty about using ChatGPT and, therefore, demand clear guidelines for teaching. In November, Minister for Children and Education Mattias Tesfaye will present recommendations on how artificial intelligence can be used appropriately in education.

Knowledge Centre for Digital Technology Understanding

We have previously mentioned the Knowledge Centre for Digital Technology Understanding in our newsletter, and now the Knowledge Centre has received a grant of DKK 5 million from the research reserve in an agreement entered into by the government and the parties in the Danish Parliament.

The knowledge center establishes a common academic foundation for understanding digital technology across universities, colleges, and schools. The aim is to promote the development of new pedagogical initiatives that can strengthen pupils' understanding of and use of digital technology in primary and secondary schools.

The new knowledge center will hold its opening conference on December 4, 2023 (registration closed)
